Who i am

by Prince LJ   Dec 30, 2008

Searching for acceptance
i look into your eyes
little glass marbles so cold and distant
a look so shocked it surpasses time

gone is your little boy
for whom you held your highest dreams
and before you stands a man
not even close to what you thought he'd be

you say that you love me
and that you always will
but i dont think you'll ever accept me
upon your shoulders lies the heavy guilt

know that you did nothing wrong
this is just who i am
nothing in the world will change the fact
i am indeed a homosexual man

mother and father i turn to you now
i want you both in my life
i know without a doubt
stop the looming darkness and try to see the light

i am who i am
and for my lover ive taken a man
so with you or without you
by his side i will stand

The surprize in the middle did not take from the beauty of the poem as the poem reflects no one can take your individuality
