Triston and Sarha Lee

by Rodney Kirby   Dec 31, 2008

Tristons thoughts betrayed him,
As the inevitable came.
Ever since his Sarha lee died,
He was never the same.
Triston remembered her so young,
As he proposed for her hand,
His love for her was a constant,
Like waves in the sand.
He felt love in his veins
And all through his heart
He did not know an accident
Would rip them apart.
Triston mourned for his love
It is all he could do,
His life did not exist now,
She was all that he knew.
Eshausted, with heavy heart,
Triston wanderd the street.
He made his way to her grave,
And lay sobbing at her feet.
He looked to the heavens
For some sort of sign,
But to no avail; nothing came
It was Sarha lees time
Triston could no longer bear it,
he was starting to slide,
He hated living without her,
It was becoming harder to hide.
With a quick shove of a knife,
It sunk deep in his chest,
His soul separated form his body,
Now finally he could rest.
Above an Angel was Flapping
His wings to a beat,
As poor Triston lay lifeless
At Sarha Lees Feet.

    Omy!
    Another wonderful poem.
I loved how this flowed so well together.
I kinda figure he was going to kill himself
But not at Sarha Lees Feet.
    This was an amazing poem.
    So well written
    So much emotion throughout this
    piece.

A sad story of lost love to it's utmost pain and hurt. You hit it on the dot, the way a man can feel after his love has died. Dramatic with a steady rhythm, I really enjoyed it. Very nice.

I hope to read a poem from you this year that ends with a smile. I don't know which poem made the tears flow the hardest.
A painful story and one that hit home.
