Nevermind

by MorbidCupcake   Jan 7, 2009

You looked at me through seducingly sweet eyes
Filled with lust and love, and whatever was still yet to come
The warmth of your embrace, holding me together
It was all much purer tasting than him
But you couldn't fix it, and I wouldn't let you in
Nevermind the roses
We're not going through this again

I looked at you with warm, engaging eyes
Filled with curiousity and coy interest
The harsh tone of my words, keeping your distance
It was all so wrong, but felt so right
Nevermind
You can't have my heart tonight

Beyond what we knew
To have and to hold
The distance still remained
Through broken, plastic things
That we called our own
Nevermind
This love won't grow
