What We Lost (What I Gained)

by Taylor   Jan 7, 2009

I didn't know where my life was heading
Everyday was another fight that began to start
What more could I do, keep on taking it?
It was about time I need mend my heart

It took one more fight for me to break
I was beginning to lose myself and disappear
I lost my mind and wanted to end it all
Until the simple thought of one little tear

I kept calm as I tried letting it out
What I really needed was to face the flow
I was hit by something I never thought would happen
The moment begun when I decided to let you go

Everything we had has disintegrated into the mist
Buried into the Cemetery of Memories
Never to be revived, for all was lost
No more will I live to fill your pleas

All respect for you has died away
I'm now someone you don't want me to be
I've no sympathy for your tears anymore
Because you didn't care when it was me

We lost our love and friendship we had for years
I moved on and now I am happy
I gained a life that I don't have to fake
And you can't continue to make it crappy

I'm done, it's over, you lost, you're done
We lost, I gained, I'm happy, you're sad
I hate, you love, you want, I don't
I'm gone, you cry, you waste, I'm glad
