Tangled In Your Lies

by Nawa   Jan 9, 2009

Red as a rose
Hard as a rock though soft around the edges
Strong as a mountain yet could be shaken
I can hear its pulsing and beating
So loud and so clear
A consistent rhythm to a lost tune
Echoes through the walls and reached my ears
I look down to trace the melody
It is in your hands !!
Not where it belongs
Frightened I am, almost hysterical
A river of blood is slipping through your fingers
Falling hurriedly and lashing to the ground
The pulsation slows and loud tune lessens
What have you done ?!
You broke my heart
Put a dagger of deception right through it
After you promised to cherish it
Now its bleeding love,
What have I done ?!
Gave you my trust
But now I know its fading
The melody has ended
Nothing is left but an echo what it used to be
So do not look at me with those aged eyes
Your the one who got me tangled in your lies
Let me be, peacefully,
Live with what is left of me
As I try to revive this heart attached to your hands...
