Candles

by Kuro   Jan 10, 2009

My candle is small, the flame is bright
Eventually, someone, Will blow out my light
Friends blow out each other's candle, a gift given to the other
Still my candle, no-one will handle, Glows brighter than before

The longer I wait, the candle grows brighter
Why do I hesitate, the bright light so pure
Snickers and jeers, I begin to hear
Self conscious doubt, creates a paranoid fear

His light still shines, he gives it not
Waiting for someone whom he cares for a lot
Yet still he waits and still it shines
Until the one it was meant for, he finds
