Waves

by ALEX   Jan 13, 2009

Wade through the
shallows of my head,
like a wave pool,
pulling me deep,
Waves of feeling and
darkened thoughts break
across the concrete shoreline.
I swim, too deep to touch,
and the waves grow.
The first real big one
propels me below the surface.
But I come up again,
breathe in again,
and whoosh, another wave.
I tumble through the water,
which way is up?
