Over There

by brie kelly wise   Jan 13, 2009

With our gravity crumbling in the distance
We were tearing the foundation of solid existence
The essence of who I used to be is fading to grey
Clawing the effortless setbacks and excuses we made

We were dead inside over there
This feeling of meaningful youth was lost over there
Frozen, speechless, coordinated by our dirty hands
We were left over there
We breathe and say goodbye

Desire and thought collapse under the weight of this distance
We have traveled far to find secure existence
The emptiness I am carrying is a shadow to what I colored grey
Running and wanting a stationary alteration we can make

We were dead inside over there
This feeling of meaningful youth was lost over there
Captivated and carried away by our dirty hands
We were left over there a million miles ago
We breathe and say hello
Right here, we are detangled
We are not alone, right here
