Pasts Apart From Now

by Conrad   Jan 17, 2009

A ghost is almost making itself visible in my perfect world.
The new love I have is now uncurled,
I hope the feeling I am getting goes away.
But this feelings not new, it is here to stay.

It speaks of dreams of long years past.
Speaking of liars, adventure, good times that never last.
Of love, oh how I wish it were not an attack.
Demons possessing, this prick in my back.

Your the one I used to hold in my pocket.
And staring at you, my eyes out of socket.
You won't penetrate this fortress of mine.
You are not allowed entrance; Can you not read the sign?

I truly have found love, and am happy for once.
I'm sick of your complaints, fed up with your stunts.
All I want, I have, and I'll leave it at that.
And if you cannot see it, then fix yourself, STAT.

Growing in branches, this tree of life.
Has the strongest bark, and will give you much strife.
Unless you can not and don't want to hurt it
And grasp your own life, not dwell in your pit.
