The Yearning For Another.

by Stephanie   Jan 17, 2009

1. It's partially true.
2. I know it's not my best; I'm having a little bit of difficulty with my writing lately. :(

``````````````````````````````````````````
I've got two different sets of eyes criss-crossing beneath my heart,
As I attempt to bury the past that nearly tore me straight apart.
Luck hasn't been on my side today, nor was it there yesterday,
But the shame of wishing for another has been killing me in every way.
I see your loving eyes, and I yearn just to touch his graceful face;
I'm sorry dear, but there's this one boy, and I can't erase his trace.
Beaten, broken, and tattered - You know my every deep regret,
And I cannot imagine walking the world without you; How can I forget?
You've become a lover and a friend; you're everything I prayed for...
But his face is like an angel, and I can't bear to lose what it was like before.
Moving on is the death of me; It's become harder than you'll ever know,
But when I'm with you, I see his face, and I find myself wishing to just let go.
