Today is the day
I’m going to pop the question
I’m so scared
I don’t know what I’m going to say
My hands shaking I’m nervous as can be
I take her hand in mine
And I get down on one knee
And I whisper “Will You Marry Me?”
She is so stunned I know she doesn’t know what to say
I think maybe this isn’t what she wants
Slowly she says yes but I know she’s not ready
So I say sadly never mind maybe we should wait a few more days
She takes my hand
And a tear rolls down her cheek
I wipe away the tear and say “Don’t worry ill wait forever”
She says “Thank you I’m glad you understand”
My heart breaks down
I don’t know what to do
I try to hold my smile together for her
But deep inside I want to frown
I feel like I’m going to die
I mean I love her so much
What am I suppose to do
I just got told no by the love of my life
I’m going to give her time and always be here for her
Because I know that’s all she needs
And tell her everything how much she means to me
Until she is finally confident and sure
Because I know in the end it will be
Us living our future together day after day
Tell each other how much we love one another
We are going to be as happy as can be-Just her and me
