Guardian Angel AKA Dying Inside

by jocelyn   Jan 24, 2009

I'll watch over you.
I'll stay quiet
not say a word
but I'll be there
to keep you safe.

I'll hold your hand tonight
when you're confused
and can't think straight.

I'll be your anchor
holding you down to Earth
keep you from falling off.

When your mind's gone
giggles left behind
and you're sad.

I'll hold you close
reminding you
you're not alone.

I'll hold your hand tonight
when you're off with your friends
you'll be having fun
and I'll be there
to keep you safe.

I'll lead you away from harm
and the malicious ones.

I'll stay silent
but I'll guide you
through the crowds and the smoke clouds.

Tonight, when you light up
I'll be there
to keep you upright.

I'll be silent
because you won't listen to my words.
I'll hold your hand
because otherwise you'll wander off.
I'll keep you safe
because no one else would.

Tonight I'll be there.
Signed, Your Guardian Angel

-------------------
I may not be able or strong enough to stop you, but I am able to hold you after you do Drugs. You're ruining your life and mine. How? By making me watch you wither away before my eyes. You're killing your body and my soul is dying.
