The Red Ribbon.

by Mister 47   Feb 1, 2009

Sitting in the meadow drowned with yellow grass
Killing time with time, so time can pass
Lying in the shade of a great oak tree
Building a wall between civilization and me

Counting the clouds that pass in the sky
Feeling the wind in my hair by closing my eyes
Holding a memory of you in my hands
Defying destiny, waiting for your command

Looking at your ribbon, remembering your touch
I did not know you will be missed that much
Tears holding back, dreams shattering around
Searching for you, so myself can be found

I wrap it on my hand, and smell your perfume
Remembering the time we spend in your room
When you gave it to me when I arrived late
And told me to always remember this date

A memory in a field, waves of yellow grass
Killing time with time, so time can pass
Sitting in your shade, by that great oak tree
Remembering the day when you was with me

    Moucha,

A beautifully written sad poem about a lost love.
I hope the pain will one day lose it's sharp edges.
You are a marvellous writer, my friend:)
