Hearing your heartbeat, touching your fear within
Hiding you from them, trying to not let them in
You just need to heal, the hurt inside your eyes
They are bleeding inside, washing off their lies

^^^This a is beautiful opening. You made the pain feel so soft

Lying in your bed, thinking about the flood
Your eyes are red, the tears mixing with blood
My hand in your hand, a shadow over you
But that won't matter, if I cried with you too

btw i feel kindda weird how you phrase the 3rd & 4th line... this is how i would have phrase it:

A tree always bends to the high wind, never break
Life is not what you see, life is what we make

^^^ beautiful way to end it. It is so true I totally agree with the last line that you have laid down

That was sweet :)...although i sensed sad feelings but you ended the poem with hope that removed the sadness...i think every girl needs someone to be like a"giant rock facing the sea" for her...i enjoyed reading it that i kept reading it over and over :D...its just that after reading it...you'll just deeply want to sleep inbetween the arms of your love...or that's how I felt...
