A Hero

by Still Slightly Broken   Feb 3, 2009

No one talks to her, she feels so alone
And shes in to much pain to survive on her own
The hurt she can't handle overflows to a knife
As she writes on her arm she wants to give up her life

Each day she goes on is one more day being brave
As she lives on the lie that giving up is not the way
In each moment of courage, her own life is saved
But she can't find the strength to throw those pills away

He sits all alone cause he doesn't fit in
But they feel like they do when the make fun of him
Only because they want to be liked do they go along
But his pain means nothing as long as they feel they belong

It's not like they hate him or want him to die
But still he goes home and thinks suicide
And when he comes back to school with a gun at his side
They think maybe some kindness could have saved his life

We all need a savior, someone to save ourselves
But some more than others need a hero's help
Too bad this world is cruel and unfair
And no one will save you when it gets to much to bear.
