True Misery

by Stacey de Luna   Feb 5, 2009

The blood begins to clot in my veins
No amount of medicine could take away these pains
I watch you walk away from where I stand
I reach out towards you with a trembling hand
My heart starts breaking as your silhouette fades
The bright colors around me turn to dull shades
The blackness begins to creep up my skin
As my longing for you breaks free from within
I try to yell and scream out your name
While the nothingness burns my skin like a flame
My last image of you is etched in my mind
As my vision fades, leaving me blind
I call out once more, trying to reach you
But my calls go unheard, and I begin to fall through
The darkness now shadows all of what used to be
As I fall into the depths of true misery
