Nothing Will Ever Be The Same

by Painted on Smile   Feb 7, 2009

I knew it would never last
That relationship that had come so fast

With one look in your eyes
We could both see
There feelings that were shared
Between you and me
For when two hearts race
Both are said to win
Then how come so shortly after
You chucked our relationship in the bin

But now I have just one question for you
Please answer it with your heart's firm truth

How could you?
After everything we went through
And all the love I gave to you
How could you?
The heart that you used to hold was mine
Now lies broken in pieces so fine
For the moment you said her name
We both knew nothing would be the same

I knew it would never last
That relationship that had come so fast

To you I was nothing but kind
Are you really that dense?
Are you really that blind?
To not see how much I truly cared
For that silence I was unprepared
The crushing weight of this noiseless room
Will be my downfall
Will be my doom

Please answer that one question I had for you
Answer it honestly with your heart's unyielding truth

How could you?
After everything we went through
And all the love I gave you
How could you?
The heart that you used to hold was mine
Now lies broken on the ground in pieces so fine
Since the moment you said her name
We both knew nothing would be the same
Since then nothing has ever been the same
