Leaving

by gasping for air   Jun 11, 2004

I'm tired of the fighting,
I'm tired of his lies.
I just can't stand here,
And hide the bruises.
I can't talk to them,
And pretend everything?s okay.
I just can't do it anymore.

So I'm leaving,
And he can't stop me.
I'll pack my things,
And put them in the trunk.
I'll get in the car,
And drive down the road.

Away from this place,
That has caused me so much pain.
I'll find a better life,
A life I deserve.
I'll find someone,
Who really loves me.
A better, happier life.

But I still love him,
And I can't stop loving him.
He's my life,
How can I leave that?
I can't,
So I'm staying after all.
