It's been far too long
Just one minute
One second
With your arms
Wrapped around me again

A single moment
Of your lips burning into mine
Singeing my memory
With the lingering aroma
Of life's breath

My heart
Slowly pieced back together
Bound by the heat of your body
Enveloped
By such passion

My longing
Has known no limits
It has felt like an eternity
Since we were here
Since you were here

Death may own you
But not in my dreams
It could never steal you
From my soul
My clinging mind

I pray
This slumber never ends
Just stay
Hold me here
Until God calls us home
