You Are Poetry

by Beautiful Chaos   Feb 9, 2009

Though you claim nothingness
You are poetry
Intoxicating lines
Of self defamation

Every tear that falls
Each smiles that appears
Every dream forgotten
Each wish fulfilled

The pain beating within your heart
Joy buried deep in your soul
Your calm indifference
Eaten by raw passion

Every vein
Pulsing with life
Dripping with inspiration
Nourishing the poet

Have you ever taken a moment
To ask yourself
How can you be nothing
When you are everything?

I love this last stanza and what a way to look at it.

Sometimes we just need to take a step back and look at ourselves and the impact that we have on others and the world around us. This was a beautiful write and showed everyone is an inspiration, even ourselves. Great write.

I believe in the first line of this stanza, you meant to say taken instead of take. Otherwise a beautiful write. The ending two lines... just wonderful.
