The Little Princess

by Bhavin   Feb 15, 2009

Crawling on your limbs to explore the world
You make me smile with every step you take
Your twinkling little eyes and hair uncurled
Naughty little princess you are as sweet as a cake.

Far from a distance when you look at me
You jump excitingly waiting for me to hold you
I look at your naughty face and smile with glee
As I crave to hold you and chase away my blues.

Quickly without notice you check out my pockets
And empty them up to find something useful
You scream if I deny and I give you chocolates
I like to pamper you and make your temper cool.

You identify me, now that you are one year old
You wait for me to play in my eveready arms
My priority being you as I put everything on hold
I like to bear your tantrums with no qualms.

You rule my small world, like a little princess
Keeping me prospered when you see me everytime
Dancing like a Gudiya (doll) you drive away my stress
For me you are nothing less than God divine.

My favorite stanza. I recognize this from my own child, ha ha. Once you see them, you want to hold them and play with them:)
