Drown (lyrical)

by KT Mackey   Feb 16, 2009

Look beyond my bloodshot eyes
You can't break through this disguise
I'm looking at the sky where dawn is breaking
All I do is lie awake hearing every breath you take
We're the living proof, you and I
All you love can change into all you hate

I can feel it killing me
Crashing down on my beliefs
Hold my breath, can't you see me?
Just don't walk away, it'll be alright
But if you try and find me,
You won't catch me tonight

Look beyond these festered lies
All I do is wonder why you can't look me in the eye
Nothing matters much to me
When your pain is all I see
When the fear inside your heart
Hits the stone inside of me

I can feel it killing me
I'm choking down all my beliefs
Hold my breath, can't you see me?
Just don't walk away it'll be alright
But if you try to find me
You won't catch me tonight

I can't keep telling myself what I want to hear
I can't keep holding on when I see those tears
I must have dreamed a thousand lies
'Cause everything, everything, will not be alright

I can feel it killing me

I can't keep holding on, I'm drowning in fear
I can't keep breathing in a river of tears
I can't keep wishing for both our lives
When everything ends in this fight

I can feel it killing me
Crashing down on my beliefs
Hold my breath, can't you see me?
Just don't walk away, it'll be alright
But if you try and find me,
You won't catch me tonight.

-- This was written and set to music by my brothers band and I, just wanting to know what you think, critique is wonderful
