Goodbye

by Danibears   Feb 17, 2009

He closes his eyes tight
Trying to bring her face back.
He starts with the eyes
Works down to the nose
The cherry-ish lips.
Her face slowly takes form.
He now sees her in a different way.
So different from before.
So changed.
He reaches out
Trying to hold her one last time.
Failing miserably in his attempt.
He clutches himself tightly
Clinging to himself.
Because he has no one else.
The tears fall as the sobs break.
He whispers, "Goodbye."
Alone.
