Nothing Endures But Change

by Nawa   Feb 22, 2009

Yellowish green leaves fell from the tress
Swaying gently to the rythum of zephyr

Whisteling banned secrets of how time can change
Flowing with the passionate blustrey breeze

Into an old house that once had a life
telling stories of generations who grew old
as they hung pictures on the walls

Incessant scents,
from a stealthy perfume of wildflowers
Lingers in the edges and rooms,
where love was once abide

Scattered letters left on the floor
Ones to beloveds, a lover and a son
I miss you and wish you would come back soon
Who knew what happened back then ? But,
those are proofs of souls that used to wander the earth

Slowly and lightly it took over house
Changes of seasons followed by changes in lives

The last leaf falls as winter begins to settle
Everything is altered even the oxygen you breathe
People die as others find a way into life
Time never eases to subsist and nor does change.
