The Soul Stronger

by Edward Latina   Feb 26, 2009

Silence surrounds me in this noisy place,
These feelings and emotions cant be misplaced.
Only one face can light up the room,
And bring a lamp to my souls gloom.

Light laughter fills the air
Eyes dazzled by flowing hair
Unable to stop, I can only stare
My minds racing, she has me ensnared!

If only I had the will to approach,
That angel of beauty so teasingly close.
Mixed thoughts bring me to my knees,
What can I do to merely appease?

Sweet music she speaks so fair
Head over heels I fall as if snared.
A lovely feeling, surrounded by despair,
An impossible dream with no one to share!

But the heart breaks to make the soul stronger,
And with new found resolve, I will no longer,
Stand by the wayside, and watch my dream run.
I wont give up, Im far from done!
