Thrill of the Hunt (A Ballad about Headshots)

by Edward Latina   Sep 24, 2008

Dance of death, aiming my gun,
He doesn't know! Death comes quick.
I can't believe this is so much fun!
With the naked eye, he looks like a stick,
But under my scope, I can see him run.
And all it will take is one little flick...

BOOM! Headshot,
He falls like a rock!
I lean my face back on the stock,
It's time to drop it like it's hot.

Here he comes to play my game,
He can't even tell he is bound to lose,
And just for the glory, just for the fame,
I take off my scope. Now too late to choose
With seconds to spare, I put him to shame.
All it takes is one wrong move...

BOOM! Headshot
To everyone's shock.
You have to know, you can't beat the Hawk.
It's time to drop it like it's hot.
