The Girl Behind The Smile

by MaRae Lynn   Mar 2, 2009

All you see is a smile
And a happy out-going girl
But what you dont see
Is all the pain she has inside

She is about to crack
She cant take it anymore
She wants to die
She has too much pain

She just wishes people would stay out of her life
She wishes she had one true friend
She knows none of that will happen
So that is what she says her life has to end

People try to talk to her out of it
But nothing will work
People try to say they know how she feels
But nothing will work

She goes into her room at night
Write a note to her parents
Explaining all the pain she has
And she puts the gun to her head

She squeezes the trigger
And a loud bang is heard
Her mom rushes in her room
She could not speak a word

Her mom is hysterical
She calls 911
She can not be saved
Her life is gone, over, done

A few days later while her mom was in her room
Her mom found the note
And for once her mom understood
All the anger and the pain her daughter had as she wrote

No one will ever get to know the real girl
The one no one can see
No one even cared.
How could this be?
