WALK

by the nomad   Mar 4, 2009

I walk through this darkness
footsteps echoing through the walls,
i drown in tears & the sadness
perhaps hoping for a call.
i speak to the wind to make the sun
come out,
he too is afraid of the abrasive darkness
too loud.

I search for a source,breathing or a life,
hope is like a fire struggling to keep alive.
i fight back my fears and try to
act stiff and brave,
there is not even a soul to even
take me to the graves.

I stand and stop and i stare beyond,
the light i couldn't see pleading for the dawn.
with age i fall, the fire out in my heart,
you come alone, survival the key to your part.

alone you will walk,
alone you will fly.
i stalked the black,
now fear has lastly died.

this is where i started and
this is where i began,
now i make my final stop.
and this is where i end.
