There's an old photo
it tattered and torn
crinkled and creased
The picture is faded and stained

This picture holds more than the chemicals on it
It shows more than the people standing there
It holds more than the mass of its feather-light paper
The picture shows more than the tears and stains

It may be from the past
This may never happen again
But I have this memory
of what used to be

Fun and laughter
Love and hugs shared
Worry-less and carefree
Unforgettable and treasured

What a beautiful memory of the past. I love my pictures and refuse to get rid of them whatever they may be of. A lot of people get rid of pictures they have because they don't like the person they were in the picture with. But in my belief the picture marks a path we have taken in life and holds more precious memories that would could never convey what the actual picture could. Beautiful write dear.
