Then You Came

by Jenna Rose Kat   Mar 5, 2009

The friends were fake,
They never actually cared,
I was a mere charity case,
An obligation to bear.

The enemies tortured me,
Threatened my life,
I walked each day in fear,
Being pushed into strife.

My family remained selfish,
I learned to take care of myself,
My desires were always ignored,
It didn't matter how I felt.

Then you came into my life,
Everything I always wanted was in you,
You gave me love enough to heal,
Could it have been true?
