The Artist

by Jenna Rose Kat   Mar 18, 2009

With blank paper lying in front of her,
She takes a pencil and begins to sketch,
Concentrating, her eyes narrowed,
Puzzling together each line carefully,
The blank paper soon is filled with shapes,
Different shapes and sizes,
Creating an art for all to see,
A piece of work, a part of her soul,
Add a little color,
Some greens, blues, and reds,
Maybe a bit of brown for hair,
As the artist draws her soul,
As she draws the man she wishes to be.
