Floating in Space

by Josh   Mar 9, 2009

So let's drink to our uncertainty,
Search inside ourselves for obscurity,
I see an angel her knees, she weeps so softly,
To all you science experiments living your days,
Tell me something tell me this are you willing to trade
A life of love and gratitude for pain,

And sooner than late do we forget,
That it matters not what is best,
We spend December getting dressed,
After all had came and went,
Our empty beer cans and money spent,
Vault our disposition and raise a glass again,

It's hard to step back into reality,
When it's dripping wet with mediocrity,
I want to rip the fillings from my teeth,
To help me decide how to love and how to grieve,

Golden strands dance around our fingertips,
While the sky is Grey and air is crisp,
But she's sleeping on her window sill,
So maybe dying is just waking from a dream,
Or maybe we just end the scene,
But all I want is to drift out to sea
