The Pacific

by BornAgainWriter   Mar 13, 2009

A shore with never ending ripples of water,
Waves splashing up against the brown sand;
Sand castles and the poor little sea crabs,
Underneath a blue sky holding everyones secrets.

Clouds hovering over saying hello and goodbye,
Sea shells from the ocean laying there, naked,
Echoing the sound of the bottom of the blue ocean,
The beautiful pacific, an escape from reality.

Children in bathing-suits, flippers and water masks,
Laughing, smiling and splashing around in salt water,
Surfs boards, skating in the hollowness of the waves,
Running their index fingers in the turquoise water.

A sun so yellow; so orange setting in the blue sky,
Eyes squinting, trying to take a picture of the scenery,
The wind blowing your hair across your face-
Evening chills as the day begins to end slowly.

Only to be full of fluorescent colors early tomorrow,
A beach that collects the humans of the earth,
A beautiful place, where you can forget everything,
A sacred place in the west, a very pacific place.

*Written for my mother** I love you.
