Questionable Death

by Beautiful Chaos   Mar 14, 2009

What is death?
We do not know
Only that life dies

Bodies buried in the ground
Ashes
Fill the skies

Sunken dreams
On heavens shores
Bounty for the pain

Angels in the brilliant white
We bear
Our sinful stain

Here on earth
The bones of past
Feed what will be born

A tree or flower
Blade of grass
Somehow they're reborn

I do not wish
Some great reward
Peace is all I seek

Dancing free upon the wind
Soaring
To some peak

Back to nature
Would suffice
Sweet mother of this earth

Miracles
Could live in death
As surely they grace birth

What a great poem. Love the imagery.

    Some great reward
    Peace is all I seek

THat is all one could hope for in death.

    Dancing free upon the wind
    Soaring
    To some peak

Hopefully things will be this beautiful when we leave our earthly bodies.

    Back to nature
    Would suffice

To be a part of natures beauty would be such a wonderful thing.

    Miracles
    Could live in death
    As surely they grace birth

Love your ending. Hoping for one of the miricles.
