Forgetting To Breathe

by BornAgainWriter   Mar 16, 2009

I'm talking to you again, and it's what I always wanted,
It feels good to express my personality again to you,
Smiley faces, actions and all the randomness we did;
When we were together, is falling back down to me.

You called me, and I forgot how to breathe again,
My heart stopping, and my mouth dropped wide open,
In disbelief that this is even happening to me again,
Right before I pick up the phone; forgetting how to breathe.

Asking how I was doing was a big step for you,
I can tell big time, but hey, you took that step,
And believe it or not, I am completely thankful,
And happy that my prayers are actually working.

You told me you missed me, and wanted to talk again,
And there I go, almost suffocating- gasping for air,
Knocking down books and a lamp finding something to hold,
Right before I reply to you, forgetting how to breathe.
