Drown The World

by BornAgainWriter   Mar 20, 2009

A door but not a key to unlock it,
A window, I think I'll take it,
A sidewalk but where is the cement,
Dirt and grass, a stop sign, No way out.

Music notes, flying around my face,
Only time in my life I'd use a Fly swatter,
Deceit, and renewing faith in God,
Releasing all my sacrifices, and myself.

People, with no lips to even smile with,
Scared, I scream your name,
I'm just another star without a shine,
So why not just drown the world.

Living my life underneath the shadows,
Of a reality world haunting me inside,
Torturing me on the outside, you can see,
Trees but not a single green leaf attached.

Hands and fingers entwined, but no finger nails,
A sky, no clouds and no sun, just a blue front,
A blue like a never ending ocean, ripples over rocks,
My feet, but no socks, shoes with no shoe strings.

A world of emotion, not a way to express it,
With it making sense, to the readers that read,
Recognize the source of deceit, again and apply it,
It doesn't matter anymore, because I'm drowning..

..the world
