Selfishly Unwelcomed

by INcognito   Mar 24, 2009

I catered to your needs
but you threw my help away
I grabbed you by the arm
but you snatched it away

I'm starting to think
that our gathering was a mistake
I'm starting to wish
that someone was in your place

your warm open arms
have closed into folded arms
and now i feel so cold
because we lost the charm

you don't seem to care
when I talk about my day
but you expect me to listen
but i turn the other way

and when i go to bed
i cry myself to sleep
because on the inside
my heart and soul does weep

it's an emotional battle
that i must fight alone
since you aren't there with me
there's no dog to fetch my wounded bone

so here we stand
in the face of a lonely sanctuary
i look inside for something there
that could possibly still be

so if you still want me
I want to hear "HEAR i COME"
because i just cant wait no more
for the sounds and confessions
of your sorry playing drums.
