Cant bring myself to love you,
Today's just not the day,
My mind's too tired to face it,
So I'm turning you away.

The words you said in anger,
Still play in my mind,
Not ready to hear I'm sorry,
So I'm leaving you behind.

I'm feeling hurt and wounded,
And sleep, I don't know how,
And I don't know what I'd say,
If you came to me right now.

So I'm not loving you today,
And tomorrow just cant say,
You'll have to wait and see,
What the future brings our way.

Maybe I'll forgive you,
Forget those words you said,
Maybe I'll forget you,
And forgive myself instead.

What tomorrow brings,
Only God can say,
All I know is here and now,
I'm not loving you today.

    Like the saying goes ... you can't take back words in anger after they've done the damage. And this expresses so well the feeling we get when the one we love ... hurts us with words.
