Trapped in the eyes of a monster

Trapped in a shell of a wounded heart
good thoughts ready to be reversed
a shelter surrounds the bursting feelings
I am forever meant to be cursed

cursed from a life of a living man
hiding behind his big brown eyes
wrapped in the skin of a monster
wrapped in the essence of lies

shouting out loud the fails of his actions
sorrow leading to wards an end
illusions takes control of his mind
while I'm trying my best to defend

though the flower still grows
and the sun still shines
we do no longer breathe
while we finish our lines
