Knocking on Heavens Door

by xXHunnyGurlXx   Mar 31, 2009

Knocking on heavens door,
Hoping your not to busy,
To answer my call.

I dont think I can stay much longer,
The pain is taking over,
I am getting weaker,
Instead of getting stronger.

Nurses constantly at my bed,
Checking my heart rate,
And changing the bandage,
Around my head.

Horror-filled flashes when I close my eyes,
Never going away,
Always with me,
Please.. I tried

I still see,
That little boy,
Chasing that puppy,
So filled with joy.

I tried to brake, I tried to swerve,
But the horror,
That filled me,
Killed every nerve.

Knocking on heavens door,
I cant live any longer,
Please take this call..

A heart breaking plea to say the least.
It's a strong poem with good wording and images came to life by your words.

    Good job!

This was a good poem but I think you could do a little better cause I know you got it in you. Usually when people rhyme they do it through the whole poem like you did except for the 3rd stanza but overall this was a good poem. 5/5 ^_~"
