I Begged

by Jenn   Apr 9, 2009

I begged and begged to dig a hole,
In which I could crawl in to.
You told me you would help me dig,
If in the end I'd cuddle with you.

I begged and begged to end my life,
So I wouldn't have to suffer.
You told me you would shoot the gun,
If you could follow immediately after.

I begged for people to leave me alone
To wallow in my sorrow.
You called me up to simply say,
"I'll be seeing you tomorrow."

I begged and begged to sleep forever,
Letting my body turn to cold.
You said "As long as it's inside my arms,
Forever until we are old."

I then begged to learn to fly,
After being broken on the ground.
You became my open skies,
with no limits to be found.

I begged for you to show me,
Meaning to this world.
You held my hands and kissed my lips,
As A whole new world began to unfurl.

Now I Beg for you to walk,
Beside me here, always.
Will you walk beside me,
Or will you turn to walk the other way?
