You

by StandStill   Apr 15, 2009

It's one of those cherry-blossom
and daisy laden scenes,
where the sun is sinking past
a grassy flat horizon.
Cling to the warmth
and the contentment of your
God,
as He crashes through the end
of yet another day.
Smile past the storm
that builds near the horizon.
THIS moment
is the one that's perfect.
Snapshot,
lock it up in the black cage
you could call your heart
because it is
what it
is.
Breathe in and touch the smoothness
of a jade river winding
tortuously
through a sun-smoothed morning.
Wonder what it tastes like
to allow the water to engulf you.
Let yourself forget
the tattoos and
scars.
This is your
moment.

These are the things
that I think of
when I see
you.
