Acceptance

by Jada   Apr 16, 2009

Another day, wrapped in secrets
quieted by shame and shyness
Stuck inside a box,
labeled, mocked, looked down on, and laughed at
If you only knew what I've been through,
what I see when I close my eyes.
I'm not asking for your sympathy,
and I don't expect you to understand.
I just wish you'd accept me for who I am,
in spite of what I've done.
But then again, maybe it's better that you don't...

P.S. I know the title's not very good, so if you have any ideas, feel free to share : )
