Silent Screams

Senseless tears
Wept in vain
Fall unseen
Don't ease the pain

Silent screams
From inside
Go unheard
Forcing me to hide

Angry words
On tear-stained paper
Litter the floor
But are like an invisible vapor

A fresh new story
Written on my arm
A suicidal lust
With a self-injurious charm

With no one around
To catch me as I fall
I pick up the knife
Ready to end it all
