Devil's Hand

by Katy Nicholson   Apr 16, 2009

You overlook what you forsee
Thus, erasing sanity
Needled thorns; roses shed
Tears illuminating red

Another soul is lost tonight
Bound by death's awakened light
Portraying rage; a violent kiss
Shadows mirroring the bliss

Continued pain, it never ends
Screaming out what darkness sends
You try to hide a sacred heart
Which did not pulsate from the start

It feeds from your corrupted mind
One happiness could never find
Trapped with fear, there you stand
Weeping in the devil's hand

Shattered mirrors, broken glass
Scars emitting from the past
You wish you had a second chance
To never learn hell's binding dance

Seeping under wounded flesh
Poisoned blood still barely fresh
It's just another way to die
Burned to ashes, dead you lie

You try to cover wounds that bled
Without admitting you are dead
And to this demon, you will bow
There's no one left to save you now...
