The Other Side

by Katy Nicholson   Nov 11, 2011

Why is it the way that it is?
I can feel a small part of your existence
Yet a part of me that should also be there, is not
It seems like there is a transparent line, somewhere
An invisible line which I've been torn in the middle of
It reminds me of a mirror, but my reflection isn't me
Instead, there is a large gap in that space
And it's because of you
I feel that it's for you
How is it that one could be both existent and not?
When I think of the line that seperates the two
The very same line holding the essence of my being
I think of you
What if the part of me that isn't there
Is the part of you that can only exist in me?
Within me, you are all too real
The ghostly part of me resides elsewhere
But, not in me...
It seeps right through me
