Misguided

by Katy Nicholson   Nov 2, 2011

I know that you can hear me
So why do you pretend to close your ears?
I need somebody to hear me shout
To distract me from everything I fear

It was never about a specific point
It wasn't to find an escape
I'm just searching for some closure
A relentless title to match my fate

And before you spear me in the back
Look beyond the glass again
So you can see me from the outside
Catch a glimpse of who I am

Don't try to paint my face with labels
To those who see, I'll always be free
No matter how prideful you seem to be
Your lack of a heart is weak to me
