Made Me Grow

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Apr 16, 2009

Well, well, if it isn't you coming back to me again
I assumed she leaved you, but tell me when?
Perhaps she said goodbye with a slap or a spit?
But I got a worse temper you haven't seen just yet

Now, when you walked out that door and said goodbye
My life just crashed and I wanted to die.
But lately I've been feeling good
You got it all misunderstood

I used to love you more than my own soul
But it seems you took me for a fool.
When you left, I felt bad but serene
Now I'll show you my bad side you've never seen

Don't you dare touch my hand and look me in the eye
You look so pathetic with your fake cry
I've changed and I am not like before
Just keep on walking towards the door

Just walk away from me like you did in the past
And this time my life won't crash and my strength will last
I won't shed those tears when you left me alone
Because everything you did to me made me grow.

Things do happen for a reason and this poem shows why because when this person left it made you grow up not in size but in maturity and in strengh. Truly remarkable piece, 5/5. Em
