That part of you

by Jackie Patterson   Apr 17, 2009

I love that part of you
That only I can see
The part that seems new to you
But very old to me

The part that you barely know
But often I see
You rarely put it out to show
But it's plain as day to me

I hate the way you act with him
You may not realize
But you change on a whim
To me it's as plain as the skies

You like her you like me
Can't you make up your mind?
It's as plain as day for all to see
Yet everyone is blind

She thinks you're a jerk
Your sisters blind
You constantly work
But still unwind

Your feelings are there
But you deny
All realities share
Yet you try to comply

Please stop this foolish game
Each day's fun
Is not worth the shame
Nor the pain

I miss the old you
The one I understood
The one I know
Or at least thought I would
