Dreaming

by StandStill   Apr 19, 2009

I'm falling through that half-asleep confusion
where the shapes and sounds blur to one.
Everything tastes of poetry
and everything looks of you.
Subconsciously I hate the
feeling of not knowing
anything,
but for a while I can touch it
and be alright.
Could you be alright?
It's all crystals and shimmers
and the blueness of a set of eyes
that I have come to grant
a moment's worth of hesitation.
Close my eyes past it all and
pretend that I'm alright.
I'm just fine.
The songs and the poems
and the dreams
and the words
and the sounds
all slur into one
and we can dance drunkenly for
just a little while.
I could do terrible things.
Will you be alright?
Just curl like a small nothing
and we could be alright.

I'm falling through that
half awake stare,
watching the stars glitter like a set
of crystals
and blue eyes.
I wonder, if we fell
could it be alright?

(jesus, don't let me write this early ever again)

If this is the product of an early morning half awake write, you should continue that process. It is an excellent love poem, once again expresses my feelings at this time in my life. Well done.
